Our Story 

THE JOURNEY 

Southern Charm Bistreaux and Bar was born in January 2019 by Chef Louis Brown, Chef Sam Faciane and Mr Edward Goodrich. Ed and Louis set out to open a unique restaurant in the Central Business District in New Orleans Louisiana. They then teamed up from Chef Louis' business partner from their previous restaurant and formed Lagniappe Hospitality Group LLC. These men were approached by a group of investors from Chicago, and New York to open 3 restaurants across the country bringing authentic Louisiana cuisine around the country. After 4 months of meetings the group realized that it was not a great business relationship to be apart of, so they set out to open their dream concept. Chef Louis was driving and stumbled on a gem of a restaurant formally O'Briens Steak and Seafood in Gretna Louisiana and approached Edward and Chef Sam about putting their dream concept at that location. Edward and Sam agreed but God put Mr Kendall Bussey  who is noted for being a successful business man to help complete this wonderful team. Mr Bussey came aboard and help finish the necessary resources to help close the deal on the location. Since announcing that Southern Charm was born, Lagniappe Hospitality Group have received blessings on top of blessings from the community with prayers ,well wishes and donations. LHG motto is ...AS LONG AS EVERYONE EATS which means we want to be a blessing to this community so we can all be successful. Southern Charm strives to give Southern Hospitality At Its Finest and to bring love to all of our inspired Louisiana Food and Cocktails.  


Today Kendall, Louis and Sam are continuing the vision that been set forward and working on the growth of the concept.

Mr Kendall Bussey Sr

 Managing Partner / Advisor

Mr Bussey is born and raised in Marrero Louisiana. He is a graduate of Shaw High School  where he was a stand out football player. He then play at the University of Colorado then drafted to the NFL where he played for 6 seasons. Mr Bussey is a highly qualified Sales and Marketing executive with 18 yrs of Automotive experience in Sales and Service. Mr Bussey's leadership with Ray Brandt Nissan enjoyed the honor of being one of the country's top 10 dealership numerous times. Those successes lead him to become Executive Manager of Ray Brandt Nissan, Kia, Mazada and Volkswagon and part owner of Kia and Mazda until 2014. 


Kendall was offered and accepted the role of Vice President/ General Manager of Nissan of New Orleans where he turned a failing dealership by turning their negative 400k in a a positive 1.7 million between 2014 and 2015. He then went to Nissan of Picayune and led them to surpass 200% of their monthly objective annually. 

Mr Bussey is a regular contributor to the S.A.C.S. (Save a Child Through Sports, AAU Track Club) foundation.  He has helped over 30 young athletes earn scholarships at Division 1 colleges and truly looks forward to following their careers and future accomplishments. 


Mr Bussey serves as a Senior Managing Partner for Southern Bistreaux and Bar. He brings his great salesmanship and business knowledge to the managers and partners. Mr Bussey  is the proud father of 3.

Chef Louis E. Brown II

Partner / General Manager

Chef Louis Brown was born and raised in Gretna Louisiana. He has 16 years of Restaurant Management and 3 years of Night Club Ownership. Chef Louis was the Executive Chef for companies such as Al Copeland Investments starting as a busser, then moved to server and bartender. In 2005 he was the youngest Executive Chef in the company history. 


In 2008 he became the Executive Chef at Oceana Restaurant where he created all the company sauces and became the chief purchaser for the company. He was then exposed to the Food Network and Destination America Channel also he appeared on 3 local News Stations. He as also was he culinary director for Dat Dog Restaurants, Food and Beverage Director for Sheraton Hotel and the Executive Chef at Tulane University and Ochsner Hospitals for Sodexo North America.


 He was then hired to be the Food and Beverage Director and Executive Chef for English Turn Golf and Country Club where he would later over see all clubhouse operations. In 2017 he was selected as Louisiana Top 25 Chefs by the American Culinary Federation New Orleans Chapter. 


He co-founded NOLA Chefs Investments in 2017 and opened 100 Bar and Grill for 2 years. Then Chef co-founded Lagniappe Hospitality Group LLC and opened co-created Southern Charm Bistreaux and Bar where he serves and Chief Operations Officer and Director of Culinary for the company. He is an associate minister at St Stephen Baptist Church, a member of the American Culinary Federation and a adviser for Skills USA Louisiana Chapter 

Chef Sam Faciane

Partner/ Executive Chef 

Chef Sam was born as raised in Algiers Louisiana. He as over 10 years of Restaurant Management and Ownership. Chef Sam as been director of Operations for Church's Chicken in Noth Carolina and opened numerous restaurants for the concept. He has been apart of the management team for Caesar Entertainment with Harrah's Casino and Hotel. He has developed recipies for restaurants in the French Quarter such as Huck Finn's and Couture, and other eateries. Chef Sam co-created NOLA Chef Investments and opened 100 Bar and Grill for 2 years. He also co-created Lagniappe Hospitality Group where he serves as culinary operations director for the company. He is curently developing a line of spices and sauces for retail . He is the proud father of 3.
